It's important to show the bloody details of war like this. People instinctively turn away and some even think it's "just too much for public spaces" but this is the world we live in. These are the effects of incendiary weapons being dropped on civilian areas in Ukraine. Before the internet perhaps 0.1% of society had ever seen what a field hospital looked like. Today it's still really low. That disconnection between the imagination and the reality of war disconnects people from the suffering involved. We should focus more on helping in these situations than turning away from them. Russia illegally invaded Ukraine and did this. They create mass graves in occupied areas, so there can be no "surrender" - they have to be resisted to the end. Ukraine should have everything it needs to protect itself from this evil. If it makes you angry, help in whatever way you can. The sooner the invaders leave the sooner things like this will stop happening. #Hospital #FieldHospital #Firerescue #Fire #Trauma #Surgery #MedicalTeam #SurgicalInnovation #Army #Natsec #NATO #Europe #Freedom #HumanRightsViolations #HumanRights #CivilRights

🇺🇦 Day 731 of Russia’s 3-day invasion plan for Ukraine — Two years since Russia invaded Ukraine and as hundreds of thousands fled west into Poland and beyond, GSMSG’s first team of prior DoD physicians/surgeons, veteran Navy SEALs and Army SF loaded up at the border and moved east. At the time the assumption was Russian forces would overrun most of Ukraine in a matter of days, but it was our responsibility to prepare as much of the Ukrainian population as possible to stay alive and fight back. Well here we are, two years later, over 23,000 Ukrainians trained, and the Ukrainian population has proven to be far more resilient and resistant to the big bad Russian army than anyone had imagined. If only those politicians in the West, who don’t understand what is at stake, would pull their heads out of the sand, Ukraine could actually win this war and put an end to this conflict. Innumerable acts of absolute heroism by Ukrainians will someday come to light and will surely continue to the end, whatever and whenever that may be. In the meantime, GSMSG, with YOUR support, will continue to reinforce our Ukrainian partners in whatever way we can. . So do you want to help in a direct way? Then support GSMSG. Circulation + Shock In the trauma paradigm, circulation becomes the priority after Major Haemorrhage, Airway and Respiratory (Breathing) have been appropriately assessed and managed. Here are some basic items every medic should carry :: • Trauma Dressings (Various Sizes) • Additional Haemostatics • Spare Tourniquet(s) • Trauma Blankets • IV/IO access kit(s) • Burns Care Products • Splints • Pelvic Binder It's more than just bandages. ICYMI: During interviews for a broader scientific assessment of the Ukraine trauma system, participants organically cited the capabilities and improvements in care that MOVES® SLC™ can provide in enabling Role 1/Role 2 pre-hospital care and en-route care of critically injured patients. “MOVES® SLC™ is already demonstrating utility and there are still additional use cases,” said a Role 2 nurse, referring to its use following a chemical gas event. Read more insights from “The Emergence of MOVES SLC Life-Support System Equipment for En-Route Trauma Care in Ukraine During a Qualitative Assessment”, published recently in Military Medicine, and learn how lessons learned from its use in Ukraine could inform critical care in future large-scale combat operations, here: https://lnkd.in/gGjRbJY4 #Ukraine #criticalcare #enroute #militarymedicine
