For the first time in 170 years, Cadbury has been removed from the list of royal warrant holders. The Birmingham-based chocolate maker, which first received the prestigious endorsement from Queen Victoria in 1854, lost the honor under King Charles III. Mondelez International, Cadbury’s US parent company, expressed disappointment over the decision but respected the monarchy’s choice. The King retained warrants for 386 companies, including major brands like John Lewis, Heinz, and Nestle, while granting new endorsements to firms such as Bendicks, Prestat Ltd., and Weetabix. Royal warrants, valid for up to five years, allow holders to display the royal coat of arms, providing a valuable "seal of approval." Campaign group B4Ukraine previously urged the King to withdraw warrants from companies operating in Russia, including Mondelez. Prof David Bailey of Birmingham Business School noted the decision would impact Cadbury's costs, highlighting the economic benefits royal endorsements offer UK businesses. #cadbury #chocolate #royal #hubbubdigital

This can be the next ad for Cadbury 5Star. Eat 5 Star and Do Nothing! Nifty50 had closed at 22488 on 30th May. The 22700 CE and 22500 PE option premiums for the weekly expiry on 6th June were about 380 and 400. On 6th June, Nifty50 closed at 22820. The 22700 CE and 22500 PE option premiums expired at 120 and 0.05 respectively. Anyone who had sold these two options would have pocketed a premium of 380+400-120 i.e profit of 660 per lot. Doing nothing during this week would have been extremely difficult because on 3rd June the 22700 CE touched 730 and on 4th June the 22500 PE touched 1400. No sane Option Seller has the appetite to digest such movements. #eat5stardonothing #nifty50 #optionstrading #5star #cadbury5star #electionexpiry

A Palestinian-Swedish drinks maker has seen its alternative to Coca-Cola and Pepsi take off massively as consumers boycott the US brands over perceived ties to Israel. Hussein, Mohammed and Ahmad Hassoun, brothers of Palestinian descent and successful businessmen in Malmo, decided six months ago to create an alternative to Pepsi and Coca-Cola. Their brand has quickly garnered millions of social media hits and attracted interest from companies worldwide looking to stock its cola, as they’re struggling to keep up with demand as some restaurants in Europe shun American-owned market leaders. Sales have reached around four million cans in just under two months. #GlobalMarket #GlobalTrends #Pepsi #Cocacola #Business #Thesocialtalks

Will we ever get to sit back and DO NOTHING? What's more amazing than Cadbury 5-star? It's Cadbury 5star itself, but not the bar; it's the "bar-raising standards" they set with their advertisements. Everytime they come up with new ad and campaign, they do not only generate buzz but actually makes us sit back and Do nothing( that too without any negative marketing, they don't follow the trend, they make the trend) The new ad "MakeAIMediocre Again" and its slang MAMA( again, another quirkiness) is doing that again. If not wrong, then it's one of the FMCG brands that have taken a stance on AI and its effects on humans by showcasing that "super-efficient" AI is making us work less or more. Is it giving us time to sit back and "think and do things" for ourselves? Moreover, their move to show what https://lnkd.in/g9RBTby7 is doing to counter AI, like "find x" & then the funny answer "here's the ex" or a graph showing normal and paranormal distribution. Everything is so smooth in this ad, just like their caramel-filled 5-star bars. Kudos to the Cadbury 5-Star team behind this amazing campaign. “𝑲𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒂 𝑯𝒐 𝑱𝒂𝒂𝒚𝒆”? Not This Time for Cadbury Imagine a brand synonymous with childhood treats and festive cheer suddenly losing a recognition it’s held for 170 years. That’s the story of Cadbury, which no longer holds the royal warrant under King Charles III. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐚𝐲? Think of it as a gold star from the British monarchy—an endorsement that says, “𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑖𝑠 𝑡𝑜𝑝-𝑛𝑜𝑡𝑐ℎ.” Warrant holders receive "the right to display the appropriate royal arms on their product, packaging, stationery, advertising, premises and vehicles". For Cadbury, it’s been more than a symbol; it’s been part of its identity since Queen Victoria granted it in 1854. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫? - 𝐴 𝐷𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝐿𝑒𝑔𝑎𝑐𝑦: Losing this badge of honor could shake consumer trust, especially in markets where tradition matters. - 𝐵𝑖𝑔 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑠 𝐴ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑑: Cadbury now faces the task of removing royal references from all its packaging—a costly and symbolic shift. - 𝐸𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝑄𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝐿𝑜𝑜𝑚: Speculation suggests this decision might be tied to ethical considerations, following advocacy by groups like B4Ukraine; given Cadbury’s parent company, Mondelez, continues operations in Russia. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 Even without the royal stamp, Cadbury’s legacy is untouchable. Generations of us have grown up unwrapping their chocolate bars, and that connection goes far deeper than a coat of arms. This shift feels like a reminder that times—and values—are changing, even for the most iconic brands. #cadbury #royalwarrant #branding #brandimage #britishmonarch #legacy #news

Witnessed a marketing masterpiece from Cadbury Gifting India 5 Star! 🎯 Their '#MakeAIMediocreAgain' campaign hit’s different. While everyone's hyping up AI, they're cleverly telling us to slow down and embrace our human pace. And the timing? #Perfect! What makes it brilliant: They actually built server farms to make AI worse – turning their famous 'Do Nothing' tagline into a cultural movement. At a time when we're all feeling the pressure to keep up with AI, Cadbury isn't just selling the chocolate(5 Star) – they're selling permission to take a breather. Props to Ogilvy India for reading the room so well. They didn't just create an ad; they tapped into exactly what Gen Z and millennials are feeling about tech burnouts. This is how you turn a simple chocolate bar campaign into a conversation that matters! 🍫 #MarketingStrategy #BrandingDoneRight #CadburyIndia

👑 Cadbury Loses Royal Warrant After 170 Years The iconic British chocolate brand, has lost its royal warrant after 170 years, a decision made under King Charles III’s updated list. First granted by Queen Victoria in 1854, the royal warrant is a prestigious endorsement for companies supplying goods to the monarchy, reviewed every five years. Losing this recognition impacts Cadbury’s reputation and its parent company, Mondelez UK, which already reported a one-third drop in profits in 2023. The absence of this hallmark of excellence could further affect consumer trust, turnover, and profitability. What is a Royal Warrant? The royal warrant is a centuries-old tradition, dating back to the 15th century, granted to companies as a mark of excellence for their goods or services. It carries significant prestige and marketing power, signaling to consumers that the brand meets the highest standards.
