Brand Awareness campaigns will automatically select reach or impressions as the optimization goal, depending on the ad format and bidding strategy selected.
If you select a Sponsored Content ad format, the recommended optimization goal is reach. You can also choose to change the optimization goal to impressions. Sponsored Content ad formats include single image, carousel image, document and video ads.
If you select an ad format that is not a Sponsored Content ad format, the only optimization goal available is impressions.
The only bidding strategy available when optimizing for reach is maximum delivery (automated).
If you optimize for impressions, you can choose from the following bidding strategies:
