You can run a search in LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Lite and use filters to narrow your search results to find qualified candidates.
You can run candidate searches in LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Lite from the global search bar at the top of the page or from the Talent Pool page in a project.
To search for candidates from the global search bar in Recruiter:

Click the global search bar at the top of the Recruiter homepage and select Start a Recruiter search with filters or select Start a new AI-assisted search.

Click Show filters on the left pane to expand the search filters.

Use the search filters on the left to modify your search.
Here's a tip
To search for candidates from the global search bar in Recruiter Lite:

Type a search term in the global search bar at the top of the Recruiter Lite homepage and select the most relevant job title or select Start new Recruiter search.

Here's a tip
You can run an ideal candidate search when you want to use a specific candidate’s skills and background as your search criteria. Recruiter and Recruiter Lite will suggest relevant profiles from LinkedIn that share common skills with your ideal candidate. Profiles in your network will be prioritized in the search.
To search for an ideal candidate in Recruiter:

Click the global search bar at the top of the Recruiter homepage and select Start a new AI-assisted search.

Type "Find me someone like [ideal candidate's name]".
To search for an ideal candidate in Recruiter Lite:

Click the global search bar and select
Search by ideal candidate from the dropdown. -
In the Ideal candidate(s) field, enter the candidate name(s), and select their name in the dropdown.
- If the candidate's name doesn't appear, try adding their company as well.
- We recommend limiting your search to fewer than five candidates for optimal results. You don't have to be connected with the candidate(s).

Click Create search.
To run a search from within a Recruiter project:

Click Projects at the top of the page.

Click your project title. You can use the search bar and filters on the left to locate your project.

Click Talent pool on the left pane of your project.

Click Show filters on the left pane to expand the search filters.

Use the search filters on the left to modify your search.
- Click Clear search to start a new search from within your project.
- Click Clear search to start a new search from within your project.
To run a search from within a Recruiter Lite project:

Click Projects at the top of the page.

Click your project title. You can use the search bar and filters on the left to locate your project.

Click Talent pool on the left pane of your project.

Use the search filters on the left to modify your search.

The search functionality in the LinkedIn Recruiter mobile app provides you with intelligent suggestions to help you better target your results during your search. You can continue searches you’ve previously set up in a project on desktop or run a search from the search tab.
To search for candidates in the Recruiter mobile app:

Sign in to the Recruiter mobile app.

Tap the
Search icon in the navigation bar. -
Tap the search bar at the top. You can generate these types of searches:
- Keyword search: Enter a term in the search bar at the top of the screen and tap search.
- Advanced search: Next to Start a search with filters, tap See all to use advanced search filters.
- Continue a previous search: Next to Continue recent searches, tap See all to continue a previous search.
To view your search results from within a project in the Recruiter mobile app:

Sign in to the Recruiter mobile app.

Tap the project title on the homepage or tap the
Search icon to search for a project. -
Tap the project title at the top and tap
Recruiter search.
