It’s easy for us to share our packaging trend predictions for 2024. But they’re more than predictions because we’re actively working to set these precedents ourselves—at least some of them. Sustainability continues to take center stage with plastic-free solutions, while interactive and differentiated materials will redefine consumer experiences. 1) More sustainable practices in packaging that won't just be about reducing our impact on the environment, but also being considerate of policy, politics, regional conflicts, and disasters. 2) Materials usage to be more tactile to enhance differentiation and not just for sustainability purposes. 3) Moving from connected packaging to interactive packaging and incorporating AI/AR/VR advancements to become more interactive, personalized, and given more marketing value. 4) Packaging will take on one of the extremes: • useful like the product • minimal to the point of elimination • extremely premium so that the consumer wants to keep it forever What do you think?
