An awesome video by Canam Bridges showcasing the timeline of the Emergency Replacement of the Fairfield Avenue Bridge on I-95! This highlights the remarkable teamwork of everyone involved, both on the front lines and behind the scenes, and some impressive footage of the fabrication of the bridge.
🚧Fairfield Ave over I-95 Emergency Replacement, CT 🚧 Here’s the finale for this project, showcasing highlights from our 5 previous Behind The Build updates and special footage from the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held on December 2. A huge congratulations to Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. for orchestrating this incredible effort. And most importantly, THANK YOU to our team for their extra OT, hard work, and precision in fabricating this bridge nearly flawlessly. “Every partner on this project overperformed the ambitious deadlines we set in May. This is a remarkable achievement and demonstrates what we can get done for the traveling public when federal, state, and local partners share a common purpose.” - CT Transportation Commissioner Garret Eucalitto “This is a great example of what can be accomplished when government, contractors, and local leaders work together with a sense of urgency and purpose. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the Connecticut Department of Transportation and our partnering contractors, we’ve been able to reopen the Fairfield Avenue Bridge ahead of schedule, under budget, and with a more modern design that will better serve the community for years to come.” - CT Governor Ned Lamont #ProjectUpdate #BridgeReplacement #Norwalk #CT #SteelFabrication #CanamBridges #AISC #NSBA #EmergencyResponse #CTDOT 🎥 Fourth Kind Films undefined

The Fairfield Avenue Bridge over I-95 in Norwalk is now open! Earlier this week Connecticut Department of Transportation commissioner, Garrett Eucalitto, and Governor Ned Lamont announced the reopening of the bridge since it was damaged from a truck fire back in May. Yonkers worked with the CTDOT, several other state agencies, and a team of dedicated subcontractors to quickly demolish the old bridge and rebuild the new one in record time. Incredible job by everyone getting this project done ahead of schedule and under budget! #ctdot #ctconstruction #bridgefire #demolition #bridgeconstruction

On this day of remembrance, we honor the strength, resilience, and unity of all who were affected by the tragic events of 9/11. We will never forget. Pictured here, Yonkers worked on the foundation’s contracts for Towers 3 and 4 at the World Trade Center Site. The deep foundations required carefully controlled rock blasting, excavation and mass concrete placement. Since 2002, Yonkers is grateful to have worked on various projects at the World Trade Center site. #NeverForget #September11th #WTC #Flight93 #Pentagon
