Spirit of Service award winner Terri Hickman has been a member of the Cleaver Family YMCA since 2017, and has volunteered to coordinate events for the center's Active Older Adults for nearly 2 years. Terri is the driving force behind game days, luncheons and presentations. She has all of the details covered including sign up sheets to get donations, communicating with participants plus setting up, and cleaning up, from each activity. Terri single handedly makes sure that the events are well organized and consistent. She shares more than 10 hours of her time each month to make these activities possible. Without her, our Active Older Adults wouldn't have the same opportunities to socialize and enjoy engaging activities. 🌟 For a full event recap, and a list of all Spirit of Service award recipients. visit KansasCityYMCA.org/SOS2024. 🫶 To learn more about how you can get involved at the Y, visit https://lnkd.in/gxyk-7qB. #ForABetterUs #VolunteerKC #CommunityThatCares #YForAll #YMCAofKC

Spirit of Service award winner Rich Groves is a dedicated Community Mission Board Member at the North Kansas City YMCA and the executive director of the North Kansas City Business Council. He is an advocate for the Y in the community. This year, Rich expanded the reach of the Y's annual fundraising campaign by inviting all business leaders in North Kansas City to join him in making a gift to the Y. He made an impact by connecting with a new major donor and new Community Mission Board members. Whether working with organizations to donate their time and talent to the Y or finding funds to meet a direct need, he is always thinking of ways to help. 🌟 For a full event recap, and a list of all Spirit of Service award recipients. visit KansasCityYMCA.org/SOS2024. 🫶 To learn more about how you can get involved at the Y, visit https://lnkd.in/gxyk-7qB. #ForABetterUs #VolunteerKC #CommunityThatCares #YForAll #YMCAofKC
