"Driving trucks has been in my soul forever and learning to drive tractor trailer truly saved me. I went to driving school at the age of 19 during chemotherapy for stage IV Hodgkin's Disease. It was a great distraction and I learned then that my childhood fascination with trucks was going to change my life. I was always the girl playing with the Tonka dump trucks. Now I get to drive them! Over the years I have driven different commercial vehicles, and I have loved every minute of it. Five years ago, after being a stay at home mom for many years and ready to get back in the work force, I was offered a dump truck driving position. When I came home and told my children about the job offer, I was jumping around like a little kid all excited at the chance to drive again. I take great pride in my job and have many requests and repeat customers. I work for a small, family-run company and love what I do. Having a desk with a view is the best job in the world." - Amy, professional driver for Starnes Clearing and Grading 🚛👏 Thank you for participating in this year's I Heart Trucking® photo contest! 📸 https://hubs.la/Q03025XS0 #WomenInTrucking

On December 14, Women In Trucking Association President & CEO Jennifer Hedrick and Director of Driver Engagement Jenny Fall participated in the Wreaths Across America wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery to honor and ensure that no veteran is forgotten during the holidays. 🇺🇸 🌲 But that’s not all. WIT has continued its ongoing support of those who serve by signing the Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve at The Pentagon. This time serves as a reminder of the vital role we all play in honoring and remembering our nation’s heroes while championing a workforce that supports and uplifts those who serve. #WreathsAcrossAmerica #WomenInTrucking #RememberHonorTeach #LiveWithPurpose
