We’ll be back on January 6th, ready to continue the fight for transformative equality. See you soon! 💜 Until then, take care and rest up—our collective power grows when we take time to renew ourselves.

  • We had an incredible week at Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID)! We are coming back with a full heart and more committed than ever to keep fighting for the rights of women, girls, and gender-diverse people with disabilities. Spaces like #AWIDForum2024 have been instrumental to build cross-movement solidarity, and in these times, that solidarity becomes a life or death issue. Thank you to all the activists, organizers, and funders; to the individuals and the organizations. Let’s keep working together to build a world where we are all celebrated! In the words of Maryangel Garcia-Ramos Guadiana, “A feminism that is not inclusive and accesible, is not feminism, it’s performance!” The future of gender equality is INCLUSIVE! • 🌍 International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024 💜 This year’s theme, "Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future," reminds us of the transformative power of feminist leaders with disabilities. Despite their resilience and innovation, these leaders often work with limited resources in a world that overlooks their needs. At Women Enabled International, we champion their vision and amplify their voices. But we can’t do it without you. Your support fuels our mission to ensure disabled feminist leaders have the tools, resources, and opportunities to create lasting change. 📅 This IDPD, check out the events where our staff members will be sharing insights and driving the conversation! 💜 This Giving Tuesday, invest in inclusion, equity, and the power of leadership. Together, we can build a future where everyone thrives. 💪✨ 👉 Donate now and make a difference: bit.ly/WomenEnabledDonate #IDPD2024 #GivingTuesday #LeadershipForInclusion #SustainableFutures #DisabilityLeadership

  • ✊ Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we amplify the voices of women with disabilities who are disproportionately affected by gender-based violence. 📊 Women with disabilities face higher rates of physical, sexual, and emotional violence, often compounded by barriers to justice, inaccessible support services, and harmful stereotypes. At Women Enabled International, we are committed to addressing these injustices by advocating for inclusive policies, supporting survivor-centered interventions, and ensuring that the unique experiences of women with disabilities are central to global conversations about eliminating violence. Join us in the fight to end violence against women with disabilities. Together, we can break down barriers and build a more equitable future. 📰 For more powerful insights explore our fact sheet: https://lnkd.in/eN7A3kaR 💪 Are you looking for ways to take action?
