Congrats to the Writer team on their $200M Series C fundraise at a $1.9B valuation! It’s a testament to the team’s relentless pursuit of helping their customers tackle the hundreds of business challenges that are now solvable by leveraging the power of full-stack generative AI. I have such admiration for May’s leadership as Writer has more than 10x’ed in scale since we first met just last year! When Writer's Series B was announced, I shared: “We (at WndrCo) have high conviction that Writer’s platform will continue to resonate among the Fortune 500 and beyond.” Since then, Writer has emerged as the go-to partner for any enterprise looking to leverage generative AI within their organizations. It’s been a blast working with Andy, Alex, Kevin, Diego, Andrew, James, and the rest of Writer’s GTM team as we’ve been all over this year (Las Vegas, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Austin, Cannes, LA, NYC, SF, etc) to bring Writer’s capabilities to the world’s largest companies. Looking forward to everything ahead. Also kudos to Waseem, Roger, Maiko, Rohan, Rowan, and everyone else at Writer!
It’s hard to fully express my gratitude on a day like today. Writer has just closed our Series C, raising $200M at a $1.9B valuation! 🦄 This achievement is the result of a relentless commitment to both innovating and DELIVERING value for the enterprise — with our world-class team at Writer working alongside our amazing customers and partners to GET THEM INTO PRODUCTION! From graph-based RAG to AI guardrails, app builders, and advanced observability and reporting, we’ve built the essential infrastructure for enterprise generative AI. These capabilities, powered by our state-of-the-art Palmyra LLMs, have become mission-critical for our customers, transforming how they operate and innovate. This is what we call full-stack generative AI, and this architecture is transforming work in the enterprise. Architecture matters, and our architecture is winning. Since our Series B round last September, we’ve worked at a breakneck pace to become the leader in enterprise generative AI. The ride has been so inspiring and rewarding, and with today’s announcement, we’ve set our course to transform the future of work with the power of autonomous AI. On our company blog I’ve shared some thoughts on what that future looks like, and how Writer is leading the way in developing the agentic AI systems that solve an organization’s toughest, most time-intensive challenges — https://lnkd.in/gJbkf8zZ To our customers, who have let us be your partner on your most mission-critical generative AI initiatives, thank you: we live and breathe your success. To everyone at Writer: I am humbled every day by your talent, dedication, and heart, and I am honored to get to be your leader. This milestone is a validation of our common vision for work that is more creative, more joyful, more interesting — everywhere in the enterprise. To all our round leads Sandesh Patnam Rob Toews Doug Pepper — our new investors Adobe Salesforce Workday IBM Citi B Capital Geodesic Capital — and our returning investors Insight Partners Balderton Capital Accenture WndrCo Vanguard —LETS GOOOOOO! The entire Writer team is so honored by your partnership driven by our shared values and vision.

Yesterday I had the privilege of participating in a small leadership summit for chief information officers and chief marketing officers. Jeffrey Katzenberg spent time sharing lessons from his remarkable career of being the Chairman of Disney, being fired from Disney, cofounding DreamWorks with Steven Spielberg and then selling DreamWorks. He now has a venture fund called Wndr Co. As a reminder, his legacy includes Pretty Woman, Beauty and the Beast, Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poet Society, Rodger rabbit, Lion King, Home Improvement, and so much more. He shared a quote that has been a mantra for him and really resonated with me: “Never let your memories be better than your dreams.” He also shared some wisdom, specifically in reference to his being fired from his role as the chairman of the Disney: “There is great value in owning your misses, just as much as owning your wins and successes.” Thank you Alexander Rosen Jeffrey Katzenberg Yousuf Khan Justin Wexler and team for a remarkable day. So great to host another AI dinner with my partner Anthony and our friends at Outset Capital - Ali Rohde and Kanjun Qiu. Code-gen (end of software engineering?), LLMs beyond transformers, data curation/pre-training, and applications in computer vision were just some of the fun dinner conversations. And then Kevin Kwok pulled out a stuffed parrot with a 7B model that follows voice instructions...only in San Francisco!! Thank you to everyone who attended - we had a blast! WndrCo is excited to announce our $14M Series A investment in Alembic Technologies, Inc. I'm also thrilled to be joining the company's Board of Directors. “Deploying AI allows companies to increase productivity in ways not possible before. Alembic is using AI developed for scientific research applications to predict ROI from marketing. NVIDIA marketing is using Alembic with great success.” - Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA At WndrCo, we continually ask Fortune 500 CMOs about their top challenges. The most common response is around proving the effectiveness of marketing spend. With Alembic, enterprise brands can now leverage the power of AI and cutting-edge statistics to understand marketing effectiveness and predict future ROI across all of their campaigns (social, TV, radio, out-of-home, sponsorships, etc). This is made possible by groundbreaking techniques originally developed during COVID-19 to trace causes and patterns in disparate public health datasets. “Alembic has a breakthrough solution for a problem I’ve seen throughout my career: Measuring results from marketing initiatives. All enterprise marketing organizations should consider Alembic to solve this problem in marketing." - Jeffrey Katzenberg Looking forward to partnering with Tomás Puig, John A., Lloyd Taylor, Seth Little, Jayden Ziegler, PhD, and the Alembic team on what Jeffrey describes as the "Holy Grail of Marketing": enabling marketers to understand the value of their spend.
