About us
Wellspring promotes mental health recovery for adults with serious mental illness by providing quality housing and rehabilitative services for nearly 1,600 clients annually. As a private, non-profit agency, Wellspring operates two Crisis Stabilization Units for adults that are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Wellspring also offers Supportive Housing, Affordable Housing, and Supported Employment throughout Jefferson County. For many years, Wellspring was the only agency in the Louisville, Kentucky region that provided independent housing coupled with psychiatric rehabilitative services for those challenged by mental illness. We are proud that today we still offer the region’s most comprehensive supportive housing services for adults with serious mental illness. https://wellspringky.org/

Wellspring is proud to be a partner in building new affordable housing for adults aged 55+ with mental illness. Wednesday, we broke ground for the beginning of Bridlewood Crossing in southwest Louisville. The event featured remarks from Mayor Greenburg, community partners, and Woda Cooper Companies. We are deeply grateful for the support of local, state, and federal officials who helped make this exciting development possible. Wellspring was honored to be a part of the impactful film screening and panel discussion for Beyond The Bridge: A Solution to Homelessness. Wellspring PIC Program Manager Matt Helmich was on the expert panel and shared his expertise on the pressing issue of homelessness in Louisville. Alongside him was Natalie Harris, CEO of the Coalition for the Homeless, who provided valuable community insights. The discussion sparked meaningful conversations about the challenges and solutions related to homelessness, and it was inspiring to see a great turnout from the community.
