Louisville is working with Louisville Bats owners Diamond Baseball Holdings and Machete Group to create a home run opportunity for Louisville. Today, Mayor Greenberg announced that the City is in the early stages of a development agreement to create the Louisville Sports Entertainment District. The proposed District would bring housing, hospitality, restaurant, retail, offices and more next to Slugger Field, better connecting downtown to NuLu, Butchertown and Waterfront Park. If realized, it would be the biggest investment in downtown Louisville since the Omni Louisville Hotel.
