What a difference a year has made in the Behavioral Health Unit at WellSpan York Hospital 📸 When facing their darkest moments, a personalized approach in a comfortable environment for our patients is vital. Made possible through the extraordinary generosity and philanthropic actions of John and Maria Polli, we will soon welcome patients into our new and thoughtfully designed Behavioral Health Unit. When we first introduced this space, the Pollis and our team members stood in the very same spot while the unit was under construction. As we celebrate the ribbon cutting, we celebrate the greater meaning – a comfortable and upgraded environment where patients can heal and recover with dignity as we work to accommodate the growing need for behavioral health care in York County and the surrounding region: https://lnkd.in/eVsRb7HE

Winter STREAK is a virtual, 12-week program offering six bi-weekly workshops to help you set health goals and accomplish them with ease! The program offers: ❄️ Fun activities ❄️ A wellness guide ❄️ Ample resources ❄️ Prizes Sean Burns set one goal for himself when he started participating in Winter STREAK – to break his personal record for a half-marathon. The program’s workshops motivated him to begin training and break down his goal into individual steps he could achieve. In October, he beat his old record by eight minutes. Glimmering glimpses into WellSpan Park in the winter ❄️    The park underwent quite the transformation to become an award-winning and wonderful winter wonderland this season. Congratulations to the team for the honor of Bright Nights York at WellSpan Park, home of the York Revolution, being named the top holiday light display by the state’s official travel and tourism source, VisitPA.      Grab your festive gear, a few of your favorite people, a cup of hot cocoa and get out there this weekend!

A heart for helping others ❤️ Sam Stover, heart health program coordinator, was recognized today by the American Heart Association - Pennsylvania with the Distinguished Achievement Volunteer Award. WellSpan leadership, Sam’s team members and the Go Red Planning Committee joined her to celebrate the accomplishment and surprise her with the award.
