To say it's been a productive year for our association is truly an understatement. We rebranded (from VSI) to PEPA last spring at our Annual Meeting, broadening our membership opportunities and enhancing our programs and services. We also launched a new recycling collaborative, and made significant progress across our core pillars, marking a milestone year. Many thanks to The Vinyl Institute and our other Revinylize Recycling Collaborative partners for making this project a reality!
INCREDIBLE PROJECT! The Polymeric Exterior Products Association (PEPA) launched the Revinylize Recycling Collaborative in Louisville recently by re-siding the New Leaf Clinic (a facility focused on allowing patients in recovery to transition into more independent living with continuing support). Through industry partnership, their team was able to take down the old vinyl siding, recycle the product, and re-furbish the building with brand new siding. This amazing project and collaborative effort of the vinyl industry: ✅ Showcases vinyl siding’s benefits: durability, affordability and recyclability ✅ Spotlights a local non-profit’s incredible story ✅ Proves how powerful vinyl siding recycling can be for our planet and community

PEPA is thrilled to have been recognized with the 2024 Recycling Award from the Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC) for its Revinylize Recycling Collaborative program. This award celebrates innovation in recycling and sustainability, and we couldn’t be prouder of what our growing recycling initiative has achieved so far. In just two years, with the support of partners like the The Vinyl Institute and leading recyclers JP Industrial Supply, Return Polymers Inc., Viking Recyclers and Lastique International Corporation, we’ve already recycled half a million pounds of post-consumer rigid vinyl. With expansions into new markets like Nashville, Pittsburgh and Louisville, we’re on track to meet our goal of recycling 5 million pounds of post-consumer rigid vinyl in 2025. Many thanks to the Vinyl Sustainability Council for recognizing our efforts. Together, we’re creating a more sustainable future by keeping vinyl out of landfills and contributing to a thriving circular economy.
