Regular mammograms look for changes in the breasts of women who do not have any clinical signs of breast cancer. A mammogram can spot changes that may indicate cancer, often years before any physical symptoms appear. This month, the Rural Collaborative is partnering with Washington State Department of Health, Molina, Hologic, and our rural hospital members to increase rural screening rates in Washington State. Check out our map on https://lnkd.in/gx_zDx7f to find a rural hospital near you and schedule your breast cancer screening today! Small towns, big fight. Screen for Breast Cancer!

A Statement to Our Rural Hospital Members in Honor of National Hospital Week Today and every day, the Rural Collaborative recognizes the incredible work of our rural hospitals. In the face of challenges that may seem insurmountable, you find a way to save lives, prevent illness, and help people live out their golden years with their family on their rural homesteads. Hospital staff carry out this mission with courage and compassion. Rural America provides the food, fuel and fiber that powers our nation. Last year you cared for over half a million people in rural Washington; thus making you an integral part of the American food and industrial complex. What you do matters. Healthcare is personal. Healthcare is local. Because of you, half a million people received care in their communities. And not just any care. You are committed to providing the highest standard of care, bending over backwards to create solutions to problems that larger systems do not face. The Rural Collaborative extends our sincerest gratitude to all hospital staff.

Impressive work Summit Pacific Medical Center. Bravo on connecting with your local high schools. https://lnkd.in/ghgCnH8p
Students from local high schools throughout Grays Harbor County pursuing the medical field recently enjoyed a site tour here at Summit Pacific. Students toured the hospital and Wellness Center, including the Acute Care Unit, Emergency Department, Population Health, Provider Residency Program, and much more! These students will take their Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) Exam in May and graduate from high school this June with their diplomas and as certified nursing assistants.
