Congrats to the cohort! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish in the future. ✨
Last month, VentureWell was proud to have the capstone event for our Aspire Medtech 2024 program at TechTown Detroit. Aspire Medtech 2024 supported 14 medtech startups on their fundraising journeys, culminating in an intensive in-person experience in Detroit. Highlights included one-on-one mentorship sessions, stress tests, and engaging “mock board” presentations, where founders presented their fundraising strategies. As part of the program, we were honored to welcome 12 mentors-in-residence (active early-stage investors), and featured an inspiring talk by Aspire alumnus Jake Edick, MBA of Magsorbeo Biomedical on the realities of startup fundraising. Special thanks to the VentureWell team, TechTown Detroit, MedHealth, Cooley LLP, The Lemelson Foundation, in2being, LLC, Siemens Digital Industries Software, and all collaborators for their efforts in making this program possible.

Congratulations to Aspire alumni team Reaction Technologies for winning first place at the Black Tech Saturdays pitch competition! 🎉 Their innovative device promotes proper "heads-up" techniques in youth sports, enhancing situational awareness while helping to prevent head, neck, and spinal injuries. 🏈 Check out this inspiring interview with Reaction Technologies co-founder Brandon Martin: https://lnkd.in/e4FgiPCb
Yesterday, we won 1st place at the Black Tech Saturdays pitch competition! We had the opportunity to share the stage with 30 other incredible entrepreneurs who are doing amazing things. Yesterday meant a lot to us and really reminded me of the reasons we founded Reaction Technologies I will never forget how I felt when I saw the story about Donovan Hill becoming paralyzed during a football game. I was literally in tears as I watched the sport I love and so many people love affect a young athlete and his family in such a devastating way. After hearing his story, the seed was planted on how we could make the game of football safer for athletes at all levels! As we get closer to the launch of our product our goal at Reaction Technologies is to be apart of the solution that enhances athlete safety and performance in sports. We want to extend our gratitude to the judges and the team at Black Tech Saturdays for all there support. Big shout out to Alexa Turnage andJohnnie Turnage for what you guys have built y'all inspire me! #sports #sporttech #blacktechsaturdays #tech #sportsbusiness #football #tacklefootball
