The government's 'Har Ghar Solar Yojana' has surpassed its initial target, with over 28,000 registrations for rooftop solar systems in just 2.5 months. This phenomenal response has led to an expansion of the program to nearly 72,000 connections under the 'PM Surya Ghar Yojana'. The benefits are already shining through. Over 1,000 households are saving money and reducing their environmental impact. Together, they've saved over 4.7 million units of electricity, translating to a collective saving of Rs 31.35 lakh. The government is committed to making solar energy accessible, offering subsidies ranging from Rs 45,000 to Rs 1,08,000 for installations. These parks will span 600 acres and cater to diverse sectors, including electric vehicles, plastic processing, footwear, handicrafts, and logistics. This strategic location in YEIDA Sector 10 offers excellent connectivity to Noida, Greater Noida, Mathura, and Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. Bundelkhand, once underdeveloped, is today booming with development. In 7 years, strong infrastructure and improved security have encouraged investors to establish their ventures in this region. As a result, approximately 30 thousand crores worth of 29 major projects have begun laying the foundation for industries in Bundelkhand through #GBC4.0. Bundelkhand is now poised to become a major solar energy hub for UP. 10 Major Solar Projects: Ten of these projects are directly related to solar energy, being established in all six districts except Hamirpur (Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, and Mahoba). These projects will generate over 3,000 MW of clean energy, creating thousands of jobs across all districts. Jhansi Leading the Charge: Jhansi will house the highest number of solar plants, with projects from TUSCO (600 MW), Fourth Partner Energy (100 MW), and Sun Source Energy (135 MW) creating substantial employment opportunities. Lalitpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, and Mahoba are also joining the solar revolution with projects from TUSCO, Awada Ind Solar, Suryashakti For Pvt. Ltd., IB Vogt Solar, and more. These projects will not only generate clean energy but also create a positive impact on the local economy. Bundelkhand is also attracting investments in diverse sectors that will drive long-term growth. These include a new LHB coach project by Indian Railways for the manufacturing sector.The education sector will benefit from a private university established by the Sant Maan Karma Human Development Committee. The defense sector gets a boost with stone mining and gun propellant projects. Food processing is on the rise with new plants from Saurashtra Bhuj Food Products, Varun Beverages, and Shukla Enterprises. Kanpur Metro on Fast Track: First Tunnel Completed on Key Corridor. The first tunnel of the Kanpur Central-Transport Nagar underground section (Corridor-1) is complete. This 1,250-meter "up-line" tunnel, constructed using a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) named "Azad," marks the project's first breakthrough. Tunneling from Motijheel to Nayaganj is finished, and both "Azad" and "Vidyarthi" TBMs are being used for tunnel construction in Kanpur Central-Transport Nagar underground section. The next tunnels will be built using the cut-and-cover method, extending from Swadeshi Cotton Mill towards Kanpur Central. The project is a testament to the dedication of the #UPMRC team, who are innovatively combining tunnel construction with system installation and track work to expedite completion. Prayagraj Airport at Bamrauli has secured its highest rank - 10th place nationally - in a recent Airport Authority of India survey. This achievement reflects the continuous efforts to improve passenger experience. Gorakhpur, Bareilly, and Kanpur airports have also seen impressive jumps, ranking 2nd, 8th, and 9th respectively. The survey considers feedback on over 30 parameters, including facilities, staff courtesy, cleanliness, and wait times. Uttar Pradesh Leads the Way! The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), India's first, has witnessed a phenomenal increase in ridership. Since the inauguration of the second 17 km section last week, daily ridership has quadrupled across the 34 km operational corridor. Previously, the initial 17 km section connecting Sahibabad and Duhai Depot witnessed an average of 2,500-3,000 daily commuters. The expansion, including stations in Muradnagar, Modinagar (south), and Modinagar (north), has significantly boosted ridership to an impressive 12,000 passengers daily. Notably, Modinagar (north) and Ghaziabad stations are already major hubs, contributing to 25% of the ridership. This remarkable increase highlights the transformative potential of the RRTS project. As a leading initiative in India's regional rapid transit landscape, the RRTS offers a fast, convenient, and reliable travel option for commuters across the NCR. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is committed to further enhancing connectivity by integrating the Meerut (south) station. Noida International Airport Takes Off: Runway Ready for Trial Landings The 3,900-meter-long runway at Noida International Airport in Jewar is now complete and ready for trial landings. The airport is also being equipped with radar systems and other technical equipment. The Yamuna Authority Limited reported that the first phase of the airport's construction is nearly 80% complete. The runway is now complete, and work has begun on installing lights and other flight-related equipment. The terminal building's structure is also complete, and the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower is nearing completion. The construction of the airside facilities, including taxiways and aprons, is also complete. The finishing touches are being applied to the terminal building, which includes the installation of glass. The Noida International Airport is a greenfield airport being built in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is located about 70 kilometers from Delhi. The airport is being developed by the NIAL, a joint venture between the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
