The northern giant hornet, a threat to honey bees, agriculture, and U.S. ecosystems, has officially been eradicated from the U.S. This achievement highlights the power of partnership between state and federal agencies, researchers, and engaged communities. APHIS played a pivotal role in this effort by providing funding, technology, and expertise that helped locate and eliminate four invasive hornets’ nests.
