It’s a boy! Baby Jude Hudson was born at 6:47 a.m. on January 2, 2025 at University of Michigan Health-West, making him the first baby of the New Year at the hospital. He weighs 7 pounds 10 ounces and measures 20.5 inches long. Both Jude and his mom, Skyler, are doing well. Please join us in congratulating the Kuiper family on their new arrival!

During this season of giving, we wanted to highlight the UM Health-West Heart & Vascular team, which recently showed extraordinary commitment by organizing a memorial service for a coworker who lost their spouse to cancer and lacked the funds for a service. With approval to use the grand conference room on a Saturday, the team raised nearly $900 from members and providers to cover catering costs. They decorated and prepared the space, hosting a meaningful event that welcomed nearly 100 attendees to honor the family and pay their respects. We're proud of our Heart & Vascular team for consistently going above and beyond to support patients and colleagues.
