We have some new Army Experimental Test Pilots in the house!! Congratulations to Class 165 from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. The latest round of Army Experimental Test Pilots (and Flight Test Engineers) graduated last night from USNTPS in Patuxent River, MD. See you soon back at RTC! It's been a busy week! We hosted our Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Patrick Gaydon from the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command for a quick visit this week. We provided an aerial tour of our ranges, a visit to several of our facilities and an in-person chance to learn more about our capabilities and innovations at RTC. RTC is a subordinate command of ATEC. RTC provides technical expertise, state-of-the-art facilities, and capabilities to plan, conduct, analyze, and report the results of tests on missile and aviation systems, sensors, subsystems and components. Congratulations to former RTC Teammate Mr. Rob Stone on his upcoming promotion! Mr. Stone is currently the Executive Director at the U.S. Army Operational Test Command, Army Test and Evaluation Command, and will soon be promoted to the position of Deputy to the Commanding General, Maneuver Center of Excellence, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. Mr. Stone has been a part of the ATEC team for more than 20 years, with his federal service beginning at the U.S. Army Aviation Technical Test Center, moving to the U.S. Army Redstone Test Center when ATTC combined with the Redstone Technical Test Center, and eventually becoming RTC's Deputy Commander/Technical Director in 2017. He was selected for his first Senior Executive Service position as the Deputy to the Commander/Technical Director at White Sands Missile Range in 2021. Congratulations again Mr. Stone!

The US Army's Future Vertical Lift program took a major step forward as the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program entered the next major phase of development when the Army approved the FLRAA Milestone B (MS B) Acquisition Decision Memorandum this week.
