This afternoon, we celebrated the groundbreaking of Eight37 Lofts, a transformative $32.8 million multifamily workforce housing development at 837 Webster Street in Shelbyville. This project is the result of a collaborative effort between TWG, the City of Shelbyville, Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA), and PNC Bank. Once completed, Eight37 Lofts will feature 138 units across two 3-story buildings and a clubhouse, offering one-, two-, and three-bedroom options to residents at a variety of income levels, including those at 50% and 60% Average Median Income (AMI). The community will also include non-restricted units and amenities such as a fitness center, playground, dog park, and CORES-certified resident services to promote professional and personal development. This project breathes new life into a site impacted by a devastating fire in 2019, made possible by Indiana’s new Affordable and Workforce Housing Tax Credit program.
