Retail Media & Marketplace Services- Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, Target

We can all feel the crackle in the air... and the slight twitch in our eyes as we work to close out another year 😀   And while our calendars might be packed with end of the year priorities and things that MUST get done, one of my favorite things to do this time of year is to take a moment and think about the highlights of the year - what new and exciting things happened - and consider what lies ahead in 2025. This week on the Ecommerce Braintrust podcast, we did just that! Jordan Ripley and I reached out to 16 of our guests from the past year and asked them two questions: 1️⃣ What’s been the most impactful change/development in our industry from this year and why? 2️⃣ What’s something in our industry that excites you the most for next year? We asked our friend Russ Dieringer of Stratably and Acadia’s own retail media brain Ross Walker to join us and discuss the highlights of 2024 and hopes for 2025 our guests shared. And while this might surprise no one reading this post (or listening to this episode!) the topic of AI topped our guests’ charts as both the most impactful development in ‘24 and something that excites them going into ‘25. Themes tying for second place in terms of most mentioned include: 🔹 Incrementality & cross channel measurement 🔹 Diversification of RMN investments in addition to Amazon 🔹 Prioritization of retail marketplaces vs other channels for brands We had so many great insights shared by our 2024 slate of expert guests that we’ll be sharing a blog with more of their takes in the New Year.  Thank you for not only joining us for great conversation this year but helping us put a bow on 2024 with your reflections and predictions for the year ahead!
