Tidelands Health offers several programs for students to learn alongside team members and behind the scenes, including a nurse apprenticeship program and job shadowing opportunities. Recently, as part of our popular Nurses are Extraordinary program, 30 high school juniors and seniors from Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties had the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes experience at our hospitals. In addition to a hospital tour, the students learned from hands-on experiences, including swaddling a baby manikin, practicing CPR, donning protective suits used in operating rooms and more.
