AMAZING Trajectory of Success – Her Smile Says It All: This past summer, second-year Thurgood Law student, Danniell Smith transcended her master plan of success to the next level, raising the bar of excellence in achievement. Danniell Smith simply killed it this summer by taking her master plan of success to the next level! From cutting the surface of sharpening legal analysis and negotiation skills in corporate law while at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in NYC to later serving as a judicial intern on the federal bench supporting the Honorable Diana Saldaña in Laredo, Texas, Danniell not only perfected essential skills to successfully support the balance of her academic career at Thurgood Law, but essential skills to support her future path as a successful, practicing attorney. And, the sweet cherry on top of Danniell’s sundae of success? She was not only named 2024 Blask Fellow by the Federal Bar Association, but will head into the 2024 holiday season as the 2024-25 Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarship recipient! Simply put, Danniell not only has a master plan of success in place, but she’s putting her master plan of success into action! So, keep being about it, Danniell! And, keep flashing that award-winning smile of success! After all, you CLEARLY are raising the bar of excellence in achievement. #ThurgoodLaw #TMSL #OneTMSL #Leadership #StudentLeaders #DanniellSmith #AMAZINGSummer2024 #FederalBarAssociation #BlaskFellow2024 #HispanicScholarshipFundRecipient2024-25 #PROTECTItIMPROVEItPASSItOn

The Thurgood Marshall School of Law SBA is dedicated to giving back to the community that continues to pour into us. We are proud to commit to at least one community service project a month, keeping ourselves grounded in our studies, our "why," and the communities we serve. In August, we kicked off the semester by volunteering at the Houston Food Bank. In September, we partnered with the Government Law Society and the 3L Class to help register high school students at Booker T. Washington High School for the upcoming election. We look forward to continuing our service in October! Service is at the heart of what we do at TSU Thurgood Marshall School of Law. #communityservice #onetmsl #leadershipinaction #futurelawyers #hallturneradministration

“Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. But vision with action can change the world.” ~ Joel A. Barker Saturday, BE What Matters® had the honor of facilitating a transformative leadership development training with the Thurgood Marshall School of Law’s Student Bar Association at Texas Southern University! Our session focused on honoring your worth, leading with power and grace, mastering effective communication, and navigating team dynamics. It was an inspiring afternoon of growth and shared insights. As I stood there, guiding these future legal professionals and community leaders, I reflected on the journey—how vision, faith, and action brought us here, standing in the power of our purpose and God’s favor. Back in 2020, I heard a question of faith on Gateway College’s stage: “Where do you see yourself?” That moment didn’t just push me to expand beyond Milwaukee, but to embrace a vision for national and global impact—while staying rooted in the communities that shaped me. What if I didn’t act on it? See impact-driven leadership isn’t just about where you want to go; it’s about taking the bold steps to get there, inspiring others along the way. So keep the vision, and get to moving in faith, leader!! Thank you, TSU TMSL Student Bar Association, President Taylar Hall for the invitation, and all the incredible connections made: Yahaira H. Saryn Allen Rachel Williams Willie J. Butler III Jordan S. Donald Alexis Williams Arianna Armstrong. Honored to be a part of your leadership journey and the future is in great hands! Special thanks to my Creative Director Tajae Jones for support! My name is Dr. Katina, and I’m just getting started! If you’re looking for leadership & organizational development that’s fun, engaging, and transformative—whether in Milwaukee, Houston, or beyond—let’s connect! #AdventuresofDrFullerScott #AmazingLeadershipNow #BEWhatMatters®️ #Leadership #ProfessionalDevelopment

“Developing leaders is not about training, it’s about transforming.” — Robin Sharma [Check out this highlight video] if looking to equip and empower your student leaders, midlevel or senior leaders! Transformation was at the heart of what we aimed to achieve in our latest leadership development experience with Thurgood Marshall School of Law Student Bar Association (Texas Southern University). Focused on core principles that resonate deeply with the work of BE What Matters® and are essential for developing transformative leaders… ✅ Honoring worth ✅ Leveraging emotional intelligence ✅ Mastering effective communication ✅ Navigating conflict Seeing these future attorneys engage with these concepts and begin to understand how to apply them in real-world scenarios was truly inspiring. Their enthusiasm for growth reminded me why I’m passionate about this work. But the impact it has and will have is why this work is so essential! Well done TSU!
