This Fall, we were selected to participate in Plug and Play's Accelerator, which concluded with an unforgettable Expo in the stunning surroundings of Kananaskis, Canada. Our CEO, Ryan Gillis, took the main stage to share Thiozen’s journey and announce our next project in Alberta. We’re excited about what’s ahead in Canada and look forward to returning soon! Special thanks to Plug and Play Canada, Lan (Scaleup) Tan, Tarek El Naggar, and Ethan Kemp #CleanTech #PlugAndPlay #Hydrogen #Sustainability

Clean hydrogen for the world's toughest industries
About us
Thiozen is an MIT spinout and the first-ever company to commercialize a process that can produce hydrogen from sour gas waste streams. By developing a low-cost, low-emission method of producing hydrogen, Thiozen helps meet the energy industry’s growing demand for clean, affordable hydrogen. Thiozen recently validated its technology in an in-field pilot unit in the Permian Basin. The 3-year-old company has headquarters in Pasadena, CA.

Big News from Thiozen! 🎉 We are thrilled to share that we've been awarded a $3.2M grant from Emission Reduction Alberta (ERA) to fund our first commercial demonstration! Alberta, Canada, is the ideal province to kick off our commercialization journey, thanks to its rich H2S resources and forward-thinking policies. Our solution will "de-sour" – or remove – hydrogen sulfide from sour gas while simultaneously generating low-emission hydrogen. "Hydrogen has the potential to transform global energy markets and to create trillions of dollars of economic activity," said Nate Glubish, Minister of Technology and Innovation with ERA. "Alberta's government is committed to investing in new technologies to develop a hydrogen market and to ensure that Alberta is the Hydrogen capital of Canada.” We are grateful for ERA's support. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey towards a cleaner, decarbonized future! #CleanEnergy #Hydrogen #AlbertaInnovates #Sourgas https://lnkd.in/ddVAn32f

🌍🚀 We're Making Zero-Emission Hydrogen! 🌍🚀 We're thrilled to announce a groundbreaking achievement at Thiozen! 🎉 Our pilot unit, commissioned at an ACT site in the Permian Basin, successfully removes H₂S from a 'sour' gas stream and generates zero-emission hydrogen. Industry has been striving to generate hydrogen from H₂S for over 100 years, and Thiozen is the first company ever to achieve this in-field! Our team spent months operating our pilot unit through the West Texas heat and cold, and it was worth it. This major milestone holds immense potential for revolutionizing the hydrogen production industry and decarbonizing our planet. Special thanks to Marshall and Luke from Act Operating Co for welcoming us to their site and Kenneth and Kevin from Trimeric Corporation for supporting our engineering and safety efforts. Their expertise and support have been invaluable. Onwards! Fabien Duclocher, Lita Nelsen, Mike Giardello, Miles Allen, Maureen Stancik Boyce, PhD, Nigar Ibrahimova, Amrit Jalan, Patrizia Ingallina, Rachid Taha, Alex Sanchez, Jim Chu, Ajay Bawa, Ryan Gillis #CleanEnergy #Hydrogen #Decarbonization #Innovation #Thiozen
