Like the trailblazing women who came before them, a new cadre of leaders is working to change that. They won’t rest until racial equality and economic justice deliver decent housing, education, job opportunities, and a healthy environment to people and families who’ve called this community home for generations. We are honored to recognize the legacy of Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray in partnership with the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice. As a pioneering human rights activist, legal scholar, and advocate for Black and LGBTQ+ rights, Dr. Murray's influence remains profoundly impactful. Located in Dr. Murray's childhood home, the Pauli Murray Center serves as a critical space for education, activism, and community engagement. Through collaborative efforts, the Center now fully owns this historic site, ensuring its mission continues. As the first Black person to earn a JSD from Yale and a co-founder of the National Organization for Women, Dr. Murray's work drives ongoing efforts toward equity and justice. The Center is recognized as a National Treasure and hosts programs that uplift Black, feminist, and LGBTQ+ histories, fostering dialogue and nurturing future leaders. We invite you to join us in honoring Dr. Murray's legacy and sharing their story! Read more: https://lnkd.in/eyQ9NVTg

This year, we've made a significant impact by safeguarding cherished landscapes, expanding national parks, establishing fresh community forests, and revamping playgrounds for better climate resilience. Our commitment to reducing the barriers between individuals and the great outdoors has yielded incredible results. Of course, none of this would have been possible without your support. Please, take a moment to reflect with us on our work in 2024: https://lnkd.in/ey-izh4h

Hawaiʻi is known for its natural beauty, but our responsibility to protect access to the lands, parks, and waters that inspire so many, is often overlooked. Carrissa Moore joined our very own Bianca Clarke on stage last week at University of Hawaiʻi recently and inspired a crowd of future stewards to take care of the powerful places, that in return, take care of us. Thanks to UH Better Tomorrow Speaker Series for partnering on an incredible event. Learn more about TPL’s work in Hawaii here: https://lnkd.in/gxh-ipBe
