It has been another impactful year at The Treehouse. We have met response needs for 114 children in newly reported cases of alleged child abuse while providing ongoing advocacy and support for 165 additional children and 140 non-offending caregivers. During 2024, our team provided 2,287 forensic and advocacy services to protect children and identify treatment needs. Through our 13th Annual Giving Tree Project, this holiday season we partnered with over 400 volunteers to coordinate gifts and provide support items to 147 children in Thomas County. Services from The Treehouse are free for any child - regardless of whether they live with their biological family or are placed in foster care. No child, family, organization, or local government entity receives a bill from us. As crimes against children continue to occur, we will continue to stand ready to provide a trauma-informed response to ensure safety, healing, and hope for all children. The issue of child safety is bipartisan. Likewise, necessary funding for the multi-disciplinary, trauma-informed response to child abuse is an issue that impacts everyone.
