To commemorate Back to School season and to conclude an Operation Backpack drive we conducted on property, our Carlyle Cares Committee partnered with Volunteers of America-Greater New York to host this Pack-a-Thon event at Legacy Family Residence where unhoused children could get new backpacks, pack them with supplies, and customize their gear to get ready for the new school year! Special thanks as well to our special guests; Molly Park, the Commissioner of the NYC Department of Social Services, Joselyn Carter, the NYC Administrator for the Department of Homeless Services, and, Jeffrey Ginsburg the President & CEO of Volunteers of America Greater New York.
