TTI is proud to welcome Nanette Schieke to our Planning & Engagement Program! Ms. Schieke is deeply involved in policy, freight, mobility and safety research. With a B.A. in pre-law and a Master’s in Public Administration, she brings over 30 years of experience as a program director for state and local government, including leading key initiatives at Maryland DOT such as Older Driver Safety and Connected & Automated Vehicles (CAV). Renowned for building partnerships and fostering collaboration, she has managed forums, workshops and educational outreach to deliver practical mobility solutions and advance strategic planning and policy analysis. Ms. Schieke also serves as a subject matter expert in aging driver safety and CAV collaboration. We're glad to have you here, Nanette!

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) is an agency of the State of Texas and member of The Texas A&M University System. The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents has named two leaders from TTI as Regents Fellows for the 2023–2024 fiscal year. Recognized for their exemplary service to society, TTI’s Director of Research Development and Contracts Mary Levien and TTI Senior Research Scientist David Schrank were among the 13 staff members chosen from the A&M System’s agencies to be designated Regents Fellows. Mary Levien is the first operations employee at TTI to receive this distinction. Her work has transformed TTI’s research capabilities and opened new frontiers in transportation innovation. David Schrank is a pioneer in mobility and congestion research, best known for his role in the Urban Mobility Report.
