What you do as a marketer is critical—how you get it done matters just as much. 💡 Hear from Tenon Co-Founder and CEO, Ben Person, on why we’re creating a solution to streamline work and campaign execution, built on ServiceNow to connect the enterprise. 🚀 #marketingwork #teamwork #projectmanagement #workmanagement #servicenow #servicenowpartner #marketingautomation

Do you have a marketing operating system inside of your company? Marketing can be chaos. There's a plate of work that usually includes a bit of everything: last minute details for the event next month, that sales deck that needs to be updated, onboarding a new hire, Slack messages with random ideas from the CEO about the "long term vision", and an email from HR asking for an update on the website for recruiting. All of that one top of having to ... you know ...actually do the revenue stuff: generate leads, get more meetings for sales, and grow pipeline. I've talked to hundreds of high-performing B2B marketers over the years and one common trait is that they all have some type of system for managing the marketing work. Beyond tracking tasks in a Google Sheet or Notion. A true operating system (and philosophy) for how marketing should get done, tracking what's important, in progress, next up, results, etc. But this is the stuff I used to roll my eyes at as a creative marketer who wants to go fast (only to realize that this is the only way to get ahead). This is where Tenon comes in; they are building a product to solve this problem. Consider these stats they found: - The average marketer uses 27 software solutions (even for a small team of five like ours at E5 we probably use 15-20 so I believe it). - 49% of marketers think they aren't getting what they need from Martech solutions. - 48% of CMOs wish they were more involved in business strategy decisions. Tenon helps you master your marketing instead of merely managing it. As Sam Stiles, VP Marketing at Summit 7, said, "You're not just transforming marketing. You're not just transforming sales. You're transforming how the enterprise operates." Tenon can help you bring order to the chaos and empower your marketing team to achieve their goals effectively. And they are marketers building for marketers. Tenon CEO Ben Person spent his career up until now leading marketing teams; he was CMO at Nuvolo for six years which was acquired for $440M. Now he's in the CEO seat building Tenon. I sat down with Ben to chat about Tenon and how they are helping B2B marketers. Learn more about Tenon here: https://lnkd.in/dhSHRu_y Disclosure: they are currently an Exit Five sponsor, and this is a sponsored post.

You know that feeling... the marketing team is super busy. Everyone is close to burning out. But you're not hitting the marketing goals. There's so much work to manage. That event next month. The new sales deck. More sales enablement material. A random idea from the CEO. Should it be a priority? Or is it just another one of her marketing ideas? Then the HR leader is asking for an update on the recruiting page for employment brand. But sales is behind on meetings booked. The pipeline gap is growing increasingly bigger. Everyone is busy. The team is not hitting goals. This is the worst combination. One thing I wish I was better is the marketing system. Truly building an Operating System for the Marketing team. I've interviewed hundreds of marketing leaders over the years and one common trait among the high performing CMOs is they have a system for managing the marketing work. This is the stuff I used to roll my eyes at. More work? About planning? Planning isn't the work let's do some creative stuff! Where are the billboards! But the more I see the more I've learned that having an operating system for marketing is so important. This week we're covering this topic for our monthly Exit Five Live session. It's called: Building a Marketing Operating System: How to Organize Campaigns, Align Your Team, and Deliver Results These sessions are open to anyone to join, not just members. And even if you can't make it live you'll get the recording after if you register. I'll be hosting with my guests from Tenon (the marketing team and CEO over there). They have an interesting POV and some solid frameworks on how to build a marketing operating system for your team so if this post is resonating with you, hit the link to register: https://lnkd.in/em4Dc-Kp
