And that’s a wrap on our inspiring uni POSCA artist residency program in partnership with TED Conferences and artist Jason Keam. Together with TED, we had the honor of partnering with Jason, a painter and muralist based in Long Beach, CA on a project titled, “We Rise By Lifting Others”. The piece showcased Jason’s creative journey to bring Community Impressionism to diverse locations across the US. The project culminated at the TEDNext event in Atlanta - highlighting the power of community, inclusiveness, color, and collective uplift. We’re also thrilled to share that the interactive mural will be donated to the Shaquille O’Neal Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. What an incredible journey!🙌🏼 We just completed our first ever uni POSCA artist residency program🎨 in partnership with TED Conferences and artist Jason Keam - a Cambodian, American painter and muralist based in Long Beach, CA. The commissioned project was entitled “We Rise by Lifting Others” and showcased Jason‘s creative journey to bring his unique style of ‘Community Impressionism’ to diverse locations across the US. Each circle on the mural & sculpture represented a person and as a collective, represented the community. The project culminated at the TEDNext event in Atlanta – highlighting the power of community, inclusiveness, color and collective uplift. 🤲🏽 Special thanks to Jason + the amazing teams at TED and uni Brands Corporation (esp Antonia Burdick, Charlie Meredith, Cyndi Stivers, Anna Bulbrook, Sasha Rozman, Erin Humphreys, Kristin Wheeler & Brian Beck) for helping us bring this vision to life as we aspire to enrich lives by inspiring creativity and connection.

Last week, members of our NYC-based Partnerships team joined The Friends of Governors Island to assist the horticulture program in their ecological restoration efforts. With 172 acres to care for and a small gardening team, volunteers are crucial to providing critical care to the Island. Together, we removed 70 cubic feet of mugwort—an invasive plant species—from Outlook Hill. It was a fun and rewarding day, and we were thrilled to help meet one of the many rigorous demands involved in stewarding the Island's new and historic landscapes.
