Attendees discussed the future of research on women’s health, the greatly expanding market for women’s health products, closing the gaps in women’s health, and much more. "It was an honor to attend the first-ever White House Conference on Women’s Health Research. As those of us working in the space know, women’s health has been underfunded (less than 9% of NIH grant capital, and less than 2% of venture capital last year) and understudied for centuries. This has resulted in little understanding of how and why certain diseases disproportionately impact, only affect, or manifest differently in women."
