Andria's scientist journey began during her undergraduate years where she started in population genetics, transitioning into gene expression studies during her masters, and making the leap into epigenetics as a PhD student where she studied aging biomarkers in sharks and dolphins. After her PhD, she founded EpiPaws to bring her epigenetic age estimation technology to the pet space and has since expanded her vision for the company to overcome the limitations of traditional health monitoring tests.s. EpiPaws is an epigenetic testing company for pets. Their first product in the market is the Pet Age Test which is the most accurate way to estimate age in dogs and cats, all done from a mouth swab of DNA. On-going research is focused on Biological Age markers that can be used for health monitoring and early disease detection.
