Huge shoutout to the GLAAD team for being named as one of Ad Age’s 11 Best DEI Campaigns run this year for its “Here We Are” campaign aimed at increasing visibility for Trans individuals. 🏳️⚧️🫶 “This GLAAD campaign launched in May introduces Trans people in six documentary-style vignettes. In the videos, Ashton, Nadya and Gio reveal their interests, their relationships with their families, how they interact with their loved ones and their hopes and dreams. Like the Egale effort, the campaign aimed to show who Trans people are beyond their gender identity.” Not only is this an incredibly important initiative due to the rising trend of anti-Trans and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in our government, but we are proud to partner with such important organizations doing good in the world. By raising awareness around key issues and giving a platform for people to feel free to advocate for themselves, we are creating a more equitable, understanding and loving society. We’re honored to have been part of this incredible campaign and to have had the opportunity to collaborate with the inspiring changemakers to share their powerful stories with the world. Great work GLAAD! Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ePHiTkFA #Transrights #LGBTQ #AdAge #DEI

We wanted to take a moment to spotlight one of our incredible directors, Lisa Burkert!! 🌟 She is an award-winning communications professional with over a decade of experience leading public relations campaigns for a variety of clients, including mission-driven progressive organizations in the nonprofit and social justice spaces. At The TASC Group, Lisa has spearheaded national media campaigns, local grassroots movements and crisis management campaigns centered around LGBTQ+ rights, diversity, equity and inclusion education, racial justice and gender equity, among others. She is currently leading the charge alongside a team of asbestos litigators to expose mega-corporations that are trying to claim fake bankruptcy to avoid paying individuals they poisoned with asbestos-laced products. Lisa is an integral part of our team and aside from her ability to connect and create a lasting impact for our clients, she consistently shows up for her colleagues as a leader, mentor and friend. We are lucky to have Lisa on our team and can’t wait to continue to see her grow. Thanks for everything, Lisa! 💜 #NonprofitPR #PRleaders #TeamTASC

Dr. Michelle Quist Ryder, CEO of the American Psychological Foundation, was quoted by The Associated Press examining the Supreme Court case for the Tennessee ban on gender-affirming care for minors. 🏳️⚧️ 💗 Dr. Quist Ryder highlighted the serious mental and physical health challenges posed by these bans and emphasized the need for support within the transgender community: “Michelle Quist Ryder, CEO of the American Psychological Foundation, said the laws, if left in place, are damaging for the physical and mental health of transgender people and their supporters. Gender dysphoria — the unease a person may have when their assigned sex and gender identity don’t match — has been linked to depression and suicidal thoughts.” Give the full article a read here: https://lnkd.in/egzQeJkr #TransRights #APF #NonprofitPR

Many people believe that PR is only for big companies and corporations. This belief, paired with the idea that PR requires an extremely large budget and global campaigns, is a common misconception in the PR industry. At The TASC Group, we believe that PR’s success revolves around having a great story to tell. All our clients have inspiring stories and deserve recognition for their important work. PR is based on building a positive relationship between a company and its audience, and this requires organizations to share stories and company achievements. Building a positive relationship and reputation for your company are investments that will last forever. Compared to other marketing strategies, PR is more accessible as it is mainly relationship-based and, as a result, has lots of earned media. Want us to show you how?
