We are excited that our new campus will be home to part of the innovative Virtual Production Institute!
The Texas A&M College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts has selected Sony Electronics and its state-of-the-art equipment and technology for the emerging Virtual Production Institute. The institute will be home to four virtual production stages, two in Bryan-College Station and two in Fort Worth, each featuring large LED screens that display computer-generated imagery to create immersive worlds where subjects can see and react to what is happening around them. With funding support from the 88th Texas Legislature for faculty, staff and equipment, the institute will reach beyond entertainment and into workforce training and simulation for first responders, health care, the military, manufacturing, product and architectural design, digital twin environments and live performances: https://tx.ag/SonyVPI

We marked a construction milestone this week at Texas A&M-Fort Worth, as we "topped out" our first campus building by placing its final structural beam. The Law and Education Building is scheduled to be completed in 2026, the first of at least three buildings at our innovative urban research campus in the City of Fort Worth that will provide educational opportunities and workforce training in the North Texas region. https://lnkd.in/gG-cKa2y

The last beam was placed on the first building of our new campus today! To celebrate this milestone, we hosted a "topping out" ceremony with officials from City of Fort Worth and Tarrant County to thank construction workers for all of their hard work with a special lunch and a ceremonial signing of the final beam. Once completed in 2026, our new Law and Education building will house numerous academic programs including the Texas A&M University School of Law. More about today's celebration: tx.ag/FW111124

We were excited to see some familiar faces in town this past weekend, as the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets marched through downtown Fort Worth a final time before the Aggies won the Southwest Classic!
