Honored by the Takreem Foundation in 2012 for his tireless work in promoting global peace, advancing human welfare, and fostering diplomacy. Beyond his presidency, Carter's legacy includes his efforts in conflict resolution, his humanitarian work with Habitat for Humanity, and his advocacy for human rights through the Carter Center. • On this Human Rights Day, we stand united in our commitment to justice and humanity. This year’s theme, “Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now,” emphasizes the urgent need to address inequality and uphold the dignity of every individual. As we reflect on the ongoing struggles faced by countless individuals around the world, we are reminded that human rights are not just ideals; they are essential tools for building a more equitable and just society. From the tragedies unfolding in conflict zones to the silent suffering behind prison walls, we must not turn a blind eye to injustice. Let us raise our voices against oppression and advocate for those whose rights are denied. Together, we can create a future where freedom, equality, and justice prevail for all. Because defending human rights is a shared responsibility that shapes our collective future. #humanrights #TAKREEMAmerica

  • On Tuesday, SpaceX's giant "Starship" rocket launched from Texas under the watchful eyes of company CEO Elon Musk and elected President Donald Trump, in a test flight that ended with a splashdown in the sea. Unlike the fifth test last month, where the world's most powerful rocket successfully returned to its launch pad in a complex maneuver, with its mechanical arms re-stabilizing it in place, SpaceX chose to have the rocket land in the sea this time. This rocket is designed for missions to the Moon and Mars. The rocket, which is about 122 meters tall, was specifically designed to help astronauts land on the Moon's surface and transport space crews to Mars. Before the launch on Tuesday, Musk stated that the test flight had four key objectives, including restarting the Starship engine during flight and clearly observing the landing process in daylight. Musk also added that the first stage (Super Heavy) would return to the launch tower, and the Starship would re-enter the atmosphere at a faster speed. According to Musk, "There are thousands of small design adjustments being tested as well." #TAKREEMAmerica #america #donaldtrump #elonmusk #makeamericagreatagain #rocket #launching

  • Bahrain Airport Company announced that Bahrain International Airport has become the first airport in the world to receive the Environmental Assessment Certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This groundbreaking achievement highlights Bahrain International Airport’s innovative approach to environmental sustainability and responsible operations. The certification was presented to Mohamed Yousif Al-Binfalah, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company, by Kamil Al-Awadi, IATA’s Regional Vice President for Africa and the Middle East, at the GFG stand during the second day of the Bahrain International Airshow, which took place from November 13 to 15 at the Sakhir Airbase under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Representatives from the Health and Safety Department at Bahrain Airport Company also attended the ceremony. The IEnvA program, created by IATA more than a decade ago, has been effective in enhancing the environmental performance of airlines in line with the ISO 14001 standard. In July 2022, IATA expanded the program to include airports and ground handling companies, recognizing their critical role in reducing the environmental footprint of the aviation industry. This milestone inspires a call to action for airports worldwide to adopt sustainable practices, helping to create a greener, more eco-friendly future for aviation. 🌍✈️ #eco-friendly #bahrain #future #airports
