Birds can see a whole spectrum of colors that are invisible to us. This ability is due to the fact that birds are tetrachromats, meaning they have four color receptors in their eyes, as opposed to humans who are trichromats and have only three color receptors. This means that they can see patterns and colors on flowers and other objects that are invisible to us. In fact, some birds use their ultraviolet vision to navigate, locate food, and find mates.
