Recently, Palmdale Regional Medical Center held a CEO Rose Dedication and Floragraph unveiling to bring awareness to organ donation. The OneLegacy organization provided the rose vial for PRMC's CEO to sign that will then be placed on the 2025 OneLegacy Organ Donation Rose Parade Float for the 136th Rose Parade on January 1, 2025! Additionally, PRMC was honored with the presence of the family of Corroundlet Sheard, an organ donor who was once a patient at Palmdale Regional Medical Center. Because of Corroundlet's willingness to donate life and health to others, she is being featured on the Rose Parade float in the form of a beautiful floragraph in her image. We thank the family of Corroundlet for taking the time to bring awareness to this important life-giving opportunity and for sharing their time with us to honor their mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Corroundlet's legacy is life and that she said 'yes' to organ donation. If you would like to consider signing up to become an organ donor, visit the OneLegacy website at www.onelegacy.org.

Temecula Valley Hospital is proud to announce its participation in a landmark national research study published in JAMA Network Open, examining the safety and efficacy of ultrasonography-guided nerve blocks (UGNBs) in emergency departments across the United States. The comprehensive study, which analyzed 2,735 nerve block procedures across 11 medical facilities, revealed promising results for pain management strategies in emergency settings. Key findings include: •An extremely low complication rate of just 0.4% •Over 70% of patients experiencing 51-100% pain relief •Potential to reduce reliance on opioid medications "We are excited to be a part of this national study moving the needle forward on regional anesthesia in the Emergency Department and enhancing efforts to improve multimodal pain management in both acute traumatic and non-traumatic conditions," said Michael Macias, MD, AEMUS, Co-Assistant Medical Director, Temecula Valley Hospital. The research suggests that ultrasound-guided nerve blocks could represent a significant advancement in emergency pain management, offering a safer, more targeted approach to patient care. Temecula Valley Hospital continues to be at the forefront of innovative medical research, demonstrating our commitment to advancing patient care and medical technology.
