Earlier this month, Solarian volunteers from our Manila office visited the Aeta community in Tarlac, Philippines, supervised by the Aeta Ako, Pilipino Ako Foundation. The volunteers gave holiday care gift bags containing basic grocery items to one hundred indigenous families. The mountain where the community lives is a 5-hour trek from Manila. While the event presented some logistics and communications challenges, SolarWinds is beyond proud to be the first company to hold a Christmas gift-giving program for the Aeta community. The spirit of volunteerism, or 'Bayanihan,' in Filipino culture lives in the hearts of every Filipino. During this season of giving, Bayanihan lives on in Solarians across the globe who showcase their generosity and our shared commitment to giving back to the communities where we live and work. A big thank you to our SolarWinds Manila Giving Community for organizing this event and sharing fun, kindness, and the joy of giving with the larger community.
