  • Welcome Megan Coder, PharmD, MBA to the SDMH Board! Megan will assume a new role on our Board responsible for Policy. We are delighted to have her bring her expertise to SDMH. Please join us in welcoming her to the Board of Directors!    Megan Coder, PharmD, MBA specializes in digital health policy, product assessment, and real-world impact. Her work focuses on enabling decision-makers to evaluate, implement, and scale digital health technologies within and across local and national settings. She's most recently served as Founder and Executive Director of the Digital Therapeutics Alliance (DTA) and Vice President, Product & Policy with the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe). Trained as a pharmacist, Megan graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and is currently based in Paris, France.

  • Welcome to Meet the SDMH Communications Committee Series Week 6 ➡ Last but not least, today we are excited to introduce our committee's chair César Escobar-Viera (he/him)! 📚 César is the Chair of SDMH’s Communications Committee (ComCom). He currently is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he directs the Program for Internet Delivered Interventions on LGBTQ+ Mental Health (PRIDE iM Lab). 📱 His research interests focus on LGBTQ youth mental health, specifically (1) examining the influence of social media experiences on depression and loneliness in queer teens and young adults, and (2) developing and testing chatbot-delivered interventions for suicide prevention and other mental health outcomes in LGBTQ teens. 🎆 Fun fact: César’s love for music is a bit obsessive. He maintains an ever-growing music collection (both physical and digital), with a library of over 30,000 songs in his phone at the moment!

  • The Society for Digital Mental Health (SDMH) is partnering with the University of Virginia’s Thriving Youth in a Digital Environment (TYDE) initiative to enhance support for academic and industry research at the intersection of digital technologies, youth development, and mental health. 🌟 As part of this initiative, our training committee is conducting a needs assessment across academic institutions and industry to understand which training resources—such as workshops, consulting support, curriculum/course material, speaker sessions, or working groups—would be most beneficial for researchers interested in this field.   • Welcome to Meet the SDMH Communications Committee Series Week 5 ➡ Today we are introducing you the wonderful Tylar Schmitt! 📚 Tylar is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia, earning a BA with Highest Distinction in Psychology in 2023. She is currently the Research Coordinator of the PRIDE iM lab at the University of Pittsburgh which is directed by SDMH Board Member Dr. César Escobar-Viera (he/him). 📲 Her research interests include developing digital mental health interventions for youth and young adults, particularly those who experience health inequities, and creating dissemination strategies that make research findings accessible and tangible to the general public. 🎆 Fun Fact: Tylar is a very talented Wii Tennis and Mario Kart player!
