Bend. Don’t break. Whole family mental health care.

About us

Bend Health, Inc. is a national provider of pediatric mental health for kids, teens, young adults, and their families. We believe whole family mental health starts with a strong foundation of resilience to cope with whatever life blows your way. Our peer-reviewed results demonstrate that more than 80% of members enrolled in Bend feel better within 60 to 90 days. We are revolutionizing the treatment of mental health conditions for kids and teens through a novel data-driven technology platform and evidence-based collaborative care model that enables the first scalable and integrated care solution in mental health. Through coaching, therapy and reduced time to evaluation and treatment by licensed pediatric psychiatry experts, our approach achieves better outcomes and results in happier, healthier kids and teens, while ensuring stigma, cost, and logistics are no longer barriers to care. Our founding team has been in both technology and healthcare for nearly twenty years, as individual contributors, and executives, in both private practices and at companies including Oracle, Optum, UnitedHealth Group and Teladoc Health.

  • As we step into a new year, one of the most important things we can prioritize is our child’s mental well-being. Here are 5️⃣ practical tips from Bend Clinicians to help your family start the year off right: 1️⃣ Foster open communication Encourage your child to say, “I’ll talk to someone I trust about how I’m feeling, instead of keeping it to myself.” Create a safe and supportive space where they feel comfortable expressing their emotions. 2️⃣ Plan daily movement Make time to be active together. Physical activity boosts both mental and physical health. Whether it’s taking a walk, trying yoga, or playing tag – any form of movement is beneficial. 3️⃣ Encourage asking for support Help your child feel comfortable saying, “If I’m having trouble, I’ll ask someone for help.” Show them that reaching out for support is a strength, not a weakness. 4️⃣ Introduce relaxation activities Explore calming activities like drawing, playing music, writing, or reading. These activities can help your child unwind and manage stress in healthy ways. 5️⃣ Promote kindness Teach your child to treat others with kindness and respect. Model empathy and compassion through your own actions, and watch them follow suit.

  • As we close out the last weeks of 2024, we wanted to reflect on the incredible milestones we’ve achieved at Bend Health this year as we’ve built out our program to drive even better outcomes for the kids, teens, young adults, and families we serve. Here are some of the highlights we’re most proud of from 2024: ✅ Launched high-acuity services, including our Acute Stabilization Program and Psych Urgent Care, to provide timely and appropriate support during mental health crises. With these programs, we’re now able to treat a full spectrum of needs, allowing members to seamlessly step up or down in care on one platform, ensuring the right intensity of care for every situation. ✅ Expanded services to include ages 18-25, ensuring young adults have access to the care they need during this transitional stage of life. ✅ Published 4 new peer-reviewed studies, bringing our total to 9. Key findings include 77% of youth with self-harm behaviors and thoughts of suicide reported significant improvements in anxiety, 81% showed improvements in depression, and 61% of teens struggling with disordered eating behaviors made notable progress by the end of their program. ✅ Achieved Joint Commission accreditation, highlighting our commitment to the highest standards of quality and safety in care. Bend is now one of the only telehealth companies with this accreditation, making us the leading and highest-quality virtual youth mental health care provider available today. ✅ Announced our Youth Primary Care Advisory Board to help us further integrate mental health with whole-body medical care. These achievements wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team, who continue to transform lives with their passion and expertise. As we look ahead to 2025, we’re more committed than ever to delivering accessible, innovative, and compassionate care for every family we serve. 🌟 🔗 Learn more about all of our achievements: https://lnkd.in/egMkzKQA #YouthMentalHealth #2024achievements #digitalhealth

As we look to 2025, the behavioral health industry has some big opportunities—and challenges—ahead. I had the chance to share my perspective with Behavioral Health Business editor Laura Lovett week for a story on what leaders in our field are anticipating for the upcoming year. The promise of value-based care has been talked about for decades, but making it work requires real support from payers to reward outcomes, not just effort. Without that, we risk spending resources proving value that never gets recognized. At the same time, access, parity, and rising costs are pulling the system in opposite directions. These pressures raise serious questions about sustainability. The path forward isn’t easy, but I’m hopeful about what we can achieve through thoughtful collaboration across payers, providers, and policymakers. What are your predictions for the behavioral health industry next year? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
