Partner Highlight: ✨ Collaboration in Action: Pro Bono Consulting at SVP Denver ✨ At SVP Denver, we’re proud to foster meaningful collaborations between our Partners and social mission organizations. This year, Dawn Marshall and Muslim Youth for Positive Impact (MYPI) partnered on a pro bono consulting project. Together, SVP Partner Dawn Marshall, Executive Director, Huma Babak Ebadi, and Director of Finance & Operations Sara Rusta have spent over 100 hours addressing MYPI’s financial needs. They began by transitioning to QuickBooks Online and soon discovered the need for an audit. The team worked side by side to identify auditors, conduct interviews, and organize MYPI’s financial records to prepare for the process. This collaboration has been a journey of shared learning and growth, bringing impactful results for MYPI and deepening connections within our community. SVP Denver is honored to support partnerships like this, to support organizations in strengthening their mission and operations. 💡 Want to get involved? ✨ Exploring the Future of Philanthropy ✨ Last month, Lighthouse hosted a screening of Uncharitable at RedLine Contemporary Art Center. This thought-provoking documentary shines a light on the challenges nonprofits face with traditional fundraising approaches—and the transformative power of creative, well-funded marketing campaigns. It’s an eye-opening look at how misconceptions and outdated norms in philanthropy can stifle innovation and impact. After the screening, we dove into a lively discussion about how traditional philanthropy often falls short—and explored how we can shift funding practices to be more equitable and effective. The conversation was filled with powerful ideas, resource-sharing, and a collective desire to move the needle on this important issue. 🌟 Have you seen Uncharitable? Share your thoughts below—we’d love to hear from you! 🌟 Haven’t seen it yet? Tell us your perspective on breaking down barriers in philanthropy. Let’s keep this conversation going! 🌟 Check out the film on streaming platforms! #Philanthropy #NonprofitInnovation #SocialImpact #Uncharitable #EquityInAction
