Phil has been a member of the Lorain Estates team for two years and has been a compassionate leader since the beginning. He befriends each Resident, learns their life story, and uses that knowledge to provide meaningful care. Phil participates in many community-wide events and fundraisers. He raised over $580 for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s team by bicycling 63 miles! Phil is always smiling and ready to lend a helping hand. We appreciate you, Phil. What a great time we had at Sugar Creek's Christmas party. A huge Thank you to "Presents for Residents" for donating these great gifts! A huge Ty to all the Entertainment for playing instruments, playing Santa, Randy Boyd, and Darla with a Christmas sing along! Darcie Culbertson from Vitas Hospice helped me sort all the gifts and that was a big job! Lisa Kappes brought in cookies from Transitions Hospice and help set up the party! Patrizia Brady, CDP and AIM Advocate helped me with this whole party and was my side kick (like the old days)! Nick Hibbs brought in gifts for the Veteran's! Ty to all the staff for all your help! Today was a bittersweet day at Amber Glen. Our monthly visits from Sterling and his handler, Harry, of PawPrint Minisitries have come to an end. After many years of service, Sterling is retiring this month. Harry will return to Amber Glen at some point in 2025 with Sterling’s sister, Silver. She’s 6 months old and is undergoing extensive training. Until then PawPrint Ministries will be assigning one of their other awesome therapy dogs to bring love, kisses, and much joy to our residents – just as Sterling did.
