Scannell Properties continues to bet big in Savannah! Our latest success includes selling our 1 million square foot spec building to Goldman Sachs for $100.6 million or about $107 per square foot. There are currently multiple big boxes sitting empty in Savannah, but we are not one of them! We sensed the slow down in larger deal sizes early and were one of the first to get creative and split this type of building up into 4 tenants. Once fully built out over multiple phases, Rockingham Farms will consist of over 6 million square feet spread across 14 buildings and all within 9 miles of the Port of Savannah. Huge thank you to Britton Burdette and the JLL Capital markets team for the guidance throughout as well as to the best in class JLL Savannah leasing team of Chris Tomasulo, SIOR, Bennett Rudder, SIOR, Ryan Hoyt, SIOR, and Lindsey Wilmot for helping us fill this building within months of delivery. Scannell Properties footprint in the Kansas City market continues to expand, and to help manage the developments, we’ve added Tyler Wysong, P.E as development manager for our Kansas City office. Tyler brings over a decade of civil engineering experience as a professional engineer, project manager and office leader. Welcome Tyler! We had an great time hosting the Purdue Real Estate Society last week! The day kicked off with a tour of our Sylo project in Zionsville, where students gained valuable insights from our Multifamily team and Shiel Sexton. We then hosted a panel featuring Purdue alumni, who shared their expertise on everything from industrial real estate to career development and the future of the commercial real estate industry.   Thanks to everyone who joined us – we hope you had as much fun as we did!
