AVISO PÚBLICO SOBRE LA POLIZA FEDERAL DE INMIGRACIÓN DE LA CIUDAD DE SAN PABLO   La ciudad de San Pablo está publicando avisos públicos generales para la comunidad de San Pablo en respuesta a las noticias recientes sobre las deportaciones masivas federales que el gobierno federal de los Estados Unidos podría planear bajo la Administración del Presidente Electo Trump para 2025. Estos avisos públicos proporcionan información adicional a los residentes locales sobre la poliza formal de la Ciudad sobre la aplicación de la ley federal de inmigración, adoptada en marzo de 2017, y siguen las protecciones estatales bajo la ley del Estado de California (SB 54 –the California Values Act) aprobada, y en vigor, desde el 1 de enero de 2018.   La necesidad de la confianza y cooperación de la comunidad es un componente esencial de la policía y la seguridad pública en San Pablo. Enredar la policía local con responsabilidades adicionales para cumplir con la ley federal de inmigración comprometería seriamente nuestra capacidad de mantener la confianza y el apoyo de nuestra diversa comunidad y resultaría en el mal uso de los fondos de los contribuyentes locales para manejar estas responsabilidades federales.    La ciudad de San Pablo no cambiara su compromiso a la policía comunitaria y la seguridad pública. Queremos asegúreles a nuestros residentes locales sobre el compromiso continuo de la Ciudad para desarrollar y asegurar una relación de confianza comunitaria y asociación con nuestra gran comunidad inmigrante.   Gracias.

PUBLIC ADVISORY ON CITY OF SAN PABLO FEDERAL IMMIGRANT ENFORCEMENT POLICY   The City of San Pablo is posting general public advisories to the San Pablo community in response to recent news on federal mass deportations being potentially planned by the US federal government under the President-Elect Trump Administration upcoming in 2025. These public advisories provide additional information to local residents on the City’s formal policy on federal immigration enforcement, adopted in March 2017, and follow state-wide protections under State of CA law (SB 54 – the California Values Act) enacted, and in effect, since January 1, 2018.   The need for community trust and cooperation is an essential component of community policing and public safety in San Pablo.Entangling local policing with additional federal immigration enforcement responsibilities would seriously compromise our ability to maintain the trust and support of our diverse community and would result in the misuse of local taxpayer funds to handle these federal responsibilities.   The City of San Pablo will not compromise its commitment to community policing and public safety. We want to re-assure our local residents about the City’s ongoing commitment to develop and ensure a relationship of community trust and partnership with our large immigrant community.   Thank you.   Please go to the City’s website for more information here: https://lnkd.in/gB6Qy7Vx
