Ohmio’s new Riverside County manufacturing headquarters, a cornerstone of clean energy innovation, has been driving progress in our region for months. During a recent visit, we saw firsthand how Ohmio, with the vital support and partnership of the City of Riverside and continued support from RivCoED, is preparing to launch three electric autonomous shuttles in January 2025. To be operated by the Riverside Transit Agency, these shuttles will make RTA the first public transportation agency in the nation to deploy fully electric autonomous vehicles. This free, zero-emission transportation option will enhance air quality and reduce traffic congestion, while creating opportunities for engineers and technicians in Riverside County.
