✨🐾 Finding Joy in the Darkness | Rise Ukraine 🇺🇦🌟 In Lviv City, amidst the challenges of war and blackout conditions, we celebrated St. Nicholas Day with the littlest hearts—children aged 0-3 years old. 🌌💖 Though darkness surrounds us, it could never dim the warm atmosphere and radiant joy of the children. 🎅✨ St. Nicholas, undeterred by the conditions, visited with gifts in hand, spreading happiness and light to each child. These moments of joy serve as powerful reminders that even in the hardest times, wonder and hope still shine through. 🌟 This unforgettable day showed us that true light is found in our hearts and in the acts of kindness we share. 🌈 Camp Colors of Love: Embracing Joy & Inclusion! 🌟 For the second year, Moose Toys has generously supported Camp Colors of Love, bringing smiles to hundreds of campers in South Vietnam. Last Sunday, the Moose team joined forces with our camp makers and volunteers to host 36 campers and 15 caregivers for a day full of laughter and connection. From a lively parachute music round to creating Christmas collages and memory jars, every moment was filled with joy! Campers learned about cyberspace safety, while caregivers shared strategies for planning their children's futures. The day ended with mixology, flower arranging, games, and calming activities inspired by SeriousFun’s guidance. Huge thanks to the “outrageously playful” Moose team for helping make this day unforgettable. 🌟 Meet Sterlande: A Story of Hope and Growth with Rise Haiti 🌟 Sterlande Petit D'Or joined Rise Haiti at the age of 4. Despite her disabilities and learning differences, her journey is a testament to resilience and support. 🔹 Challenges: Limited communication skills, producing sounds instead of words. Difficulty holding a pencil or spoon. Mobility issues affecting her foot movement. 🔹 Our Approach: Music Therapy: Songs with repetitive words and gestures helped her move and engage at her own rhythm. Storytime with Pictures: Improved communication by encouraging her to mimic words and connect with images. Creative Activities: Coloring and painting to strengthen fine motor skills and unleash her imagination. 🔹 The Results: Now thriving in 1st section at Cœur d'Adoration school in Viard, Kenscoff. Learning, playing, and making friends like any other child. Her school and mother are overjoyed at her progress and newfound confidence. 🌈 Sterlande’s story shows that every child deserves the chance to thrive. 🌟 Meet Vladi: A Journey of Perseverance, Play, and Progress 🌟 For most young children, recognizing animals is second nature. But for 4-year-old Vladi, pointing to a cat or a dog is a milestone—one that reflects nine months of dedication, care, and specialized support at the play space at our partner’s Day Center for Children with Disabilities in Kazanlak. 💙   Two years ago, Vladi’s parents noticed something was different. Unlike other children his age, he struggled with everyday tasks like dressing himself, using the toilet, or speaking. Specialists suspected autism and encouraged his family to seek help.   When Vladi first arrived at the center, he was silent, withdrawn, and uninterested in the world around him. He preferred lying on the floor, occasionally reaching for a toy but rarely engaging.   With patience, consistency, and the support of our amazing team, Vladi and his parents embarked on a transformative journey through the world of play. 🎨 The first steps? Nesting and sorting colors. Together, they celebrated every small victory, each one a building block for progress. 📖 Next stop? The beloved storybook “Brown Bear, Brown Bear.” Through this colorful tale, Vladi discovered the world of animals. Soon, he was adding his own characters to the story, mimicking their sounds and movements with joy. And then, the moment they’d been waiting for arrived: Vladi’s first sentences. His voice was no longer silent—it was filled with curiosity, laughter, and hope. 🎵 Today, cleaning up toys has become a playful routine. Vladi and the adults sing together, turning tidying up into a moment of connection and growth. His progress is a beacon of hope that one day soon, Vladi will join his peers in group activities, building friendships and continuing to thrive.
