In September, Via and the City of Sioux Falls enacted the bold "Transit Reimagined" plan, featuring 9 new bus routes that are faster and more frequent than ever before (in addition to earlier transformations, like expanded on-demand service, paratransit upgrades, and a new multimodal app). Just 2.5 months later, the fast-growing Midwest city is seeing big gains in transit ridership, efficiency, and access — with the city's visionary mayor, Paul TenHaken, calling it "a home run." Thank you, Federal Transit Administration, for recognizing our Bayview Shuttle initiative! 🧡 💜 We’re proud to bring this innovative transit service to life and work together with our partner San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) to build a more connected and inclusive city.
To enhance service and address transportation challenges, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) recently launched the Bayview Shuttle, providing on-demand, door-to-door rides in Bayview-Hunters Point—one of San Francisco's most underserved neighborhoods. The shuttle connects residents to key destinations, including the 22nd St Caltrain Station and 24th St/Mission BART Station, expanding travel options across the city. The program also includes a transportation resource center and workforce development initiatives, offering Bayview residents training opportunities for careers at Muni. bit.ly/3V54jfE

🎉 We're so proud to be a part of this project with California State Transportation Agency and Cal-ITP: California Integrated Travel Project to empower transit agencies with the tools that help them build better transportation for the future!
Every transit agency in California works hard to provide a seamless travel experience, but smaller agencies often struggle to purchase and implement software that streamlines operations and solve riders’ biggest mobility challenges. That’s why we’re partnering with California State Transportation Agency(CalSTA) to give smaller California public transit agencies free access to Remix, Via's comprehensive transportation planning and scheduling software. After years of research, we’re excited to give small and rural agencies access to the high quality software tools needed to provide their riders with accurate data, anytime they make a schedule change. To check your eligibility and apply, complete our intake form, or reach out to hello@calitp.org with questions. https://lnkd.in/gGtZ7NG4
