As #NationalSafetyMonth comes to an end, we have one more safety tip to share. According to OSHA, about 98% of workplace accidents are preventable and 90% of accidents are caused by human error. ➔ Following proper safety protocols and being aware of your surroundings are important in preventing accidents. ➔ Knowing what potential hazards may be present and how to reduce their risks is essential to a safe work environment. One of the leading causes of workplace injuries is overexertion. Overexertion contributes to about 35% of injuries every year and can lead to muscle strains, dislocations, and other related injuries.  ➔ To prevent these injuries, make sure to stretch 5-10 minutes before doing any physical work or lifting any heavy object. ➔ Make sure to use proper lifting techniques or use a machine or tool designed to lift heavy loads.  ➔ Take regular breaks to allow your body to rest. #safety #nationalsafetymonth #workplacesafety

This month marks the 28th Annual National Safety Month spearheaded by the National Safety Council. In observance of #NSM, in June we’ll be sharing a series of posts bringing awareness to the importance of safety and the leading causes of preventable injuries and fatalities in the workplace.   To kick things off, we first wanted to share about the growth of our safety team. Over the last two years, we’ve added four people to our safety team. This group is dedicated to the safety of our employees and customers.
