Many hospitals could increase patient access, throughput, and revenue by making more effective use of their existing clinic and exam room space. But of course, it's never that simple. The reality is that many hospitals lack accurate visibility into their exam room utilization. When you can't reliably see when rooms are being used, by whom, and how, it makes it extremely difficult to optimize their usage. Here's how technology can help: - Connect exam room management with provider schedules to see up-to-date room assignments, usage, and availability, even when schedule changes occur. - Integrate with the EHR - such as Epic's Cadence module - to populate patient appointment information alongside provider and room schedules. - Utilize intuitive reports and analytics to see a clear picture of space utilization and density trends. Using all of this information allows health systems to better manage physical space and provider time, identify opportunities to improve, and make better-informed decisions about space allocations and growth initiatives. Have any of these strategies helped your organization? Let us know ⬇️

Organizations on average have an 80.15% payroll accuracy rate, with each error costing $291, directly and indirectly, to fix. Since healthcare organizations have so many complexities in pay - compensation differentials, varying pay rates, performance pay, overtime rules, holiday pay, etc. - it makes it all too easy for mistakes to occur. Ideally, you can use technology to help lower the chances of errors. Accurate time tracking - Schedule-first time and attendance systems allow for workforce to enter and track their time easily, while staying accurate even when changes occur. Visibility into time discrepancies - Automated time tracking systems can flag items such as missed punches, late or early arrivals, non-geo-verified or unplanned punches, so admins can address the discrepancies before they lead to payroll errors. Simplified gross pay calculations - Setting up pay rules driven by the schedule and time worked, including shift differentials, overtime rules, holiday and incentive pay, allows for accurate calculations. How is your time and attendance solution working for your organization? #TimeandAttendance #HealthcareInnovation #HealthcareTech
